These Terms govern your use of oran.chat (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use oran.chat
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age at which you can consent to a digital services contract in your country, whichever is higher. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us promptly at hello@oran.chat if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity on your account.
2. Acceptable use
While using the Service, you will not:
- Break the law, infringe another person’s rights, or help anyone else do so;
- Generate, request, or share content that sexualizes minors, incites violence, promotes self-harm, or targets a person or group for harassment;
- Use outputs to impersonate a real person, create deceptive political or financial content, or mislead someone in a way likely to cause harm;
- Probe, scan, or attempt to bypass the security or rate limits of the Service;
- Scrape the Service, resell access, or automate sign-ups in ways that conflict with its intended use;
- Upload files that contain malware, or that you are not legally permitted to share.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section. Some conduct may also require us to notify the underlying model provider or law enforcement.
3. Your content and AI outputs
You retain ownership of the prompts, files, and other material you submit to the Service (“Inputs”). To operate the Service we need a limited licence to process Inputs and the resulting model outputs (“Outputs”) — this covers routing them to AI providers, showing them in your conversation history, and storing them in our database.
As between you and oran.chat, you are also responsible for the Outputs you choose to keep, share, or act upon. Review and verify Outputs before relying on them — see the disclaimer below.
4. Third-party AI models
oran.chat routes messages to third-party model providers (including, today, OpenAI and Anthropic). When you send a message to a given model, its contents are transmitted to that provider and processed under that provider’s API terms. We choose providers whose API terms do not train on customer data by default, but you should read those terms if that distinction matters to you.
5. Plans, billing, and refunds
The free plan allows a limited number of messages per day. The Pro plan is a recurring subscription billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the Service remains available until then.
Taxes may apply based on your billing location. We do not issue refunds for partial periods except where required by applicable consumer-protection law. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at hello@oran.chat.
6. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from settings. We can suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide you the Service would expose us or other users to material risk. When an account is terminated, we delete or anonymise associated data on the schedule described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” AI outputs can be wrong, misleading, or offensive, and should not be relied on without independent verification — especially for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, oran.chat will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) USD 50.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least seven days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
